Breakage doesn't start
Windows - double clicking Breakage2.jar unzips it instead of running it
Your .jar file associations are broken, use this jarfix app to fix them and try again.
OS X - an error message appears saying check the Console log
You probably don't have the Java 1.5 installed. Software Update to at least OS X 10.4.4, then install the Java 1.5 update.
It still doesn't work!
Check you're using the latest version and use the forum to find or request bug fixes.
What's debug mode?
Debug mode prints more information about what breakage is doing. It's useful to send this data with a bug report. To start in debug mode, lauch Breakage from the command line with "java -jar Breakage2.jar -debug". Changing the pattern dimensions stops the sound
When the pattern dimensions (length and number) are changed, the channels are re-created but the samples aren't automatically reloaded into them. The workaround is to manually re-load the samples into each channel. General questions
What platforms does Breakage run on?
Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
Where can I get more samples?
Try this forum post, KB6.de, Blue Distortion and MeanBeat.
Is Breakage open source?
The ChucK script is. The Java application isn't. It's all free to use.
